Sail Pension Scheme 2022: SAIL, also known as Steel Authority of India Limited, is one of the largest steel-making enterprises in the entire country. Recently, Sail Pension Scheme has been started by SAIL for its ex-employees. SAIL manufactures steel and iron in its five integrated and three specialized plants, under which a large number of employees work. The pension scheme launched by SAIL for its ex-employees on 29th April 2019 has been approved by the Ministry of Steel and SAIL officials, after which guidelines related to this scheme have been issued by the Department of Public Enterprises. Sail Pension Scheme 2022

The Sail Pension Scheme has been issued by the SAIL authority as per the guidelines of the Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India. This pension scheme has been started with the approval of the Ministry of Steel and SAIL Board, under which financial assistance will be provided in the form of pension to the ex-employees belonging to the Ministry of Steel and SAIL Board. To get the benefits under this pension scheme implemented by SAIL, candidates have to apply online, for which SAIL officials have also launched an official portal. Through this scheme, the beneficiary employees will become financially strong and will be able to live their life easily without being dependent on anyone.

Objectives of Sail Pension Scheme

Sail Pension Scheme was launched by Steel Authority of India Limited on 29th April 2019, which is a pension scheme. Under this pension scheme, SAIL will provide financial assistance in the form of pension to its former employees, so that the beneficiary employee can live his life easily without being dependent on anyone. Through this scheme, the beneficiary ex-employees will become financially strong and self-reliant. The scheme has been implemented with the approval of the Ministry of Steel and SAIL officials and guidelines have been issued by the Department of Public Enterprises.

Beneficiaries Covered under Sail Pension Scheme

• Executives (including Management trainees) on rolls of the Company on or after 01.01.2007 (including those appointed at the Board level)
• Non-executives (including trainees recruited for eventual employment) on rolls of the Company on or after 01.01.2012.
• New entrants

Pension Contribution under Sail Pension Scheme

For Executives:- Effective from 1.1.2007

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant has a minimum of 15 years of service and superannuation from the Company.
• Death/PTD/Medical invalidation leading to the cessation of Service – irrespective of the duration of service rendered

You can complete the registration process for the SAIL pension scheme by following the given steps.

• First of all, you have to visit the official website of SAIL. The home page of the website will open in front of you.

• After this, the homepage of the portal will flash on your screen. Now you have to click on the option of SAIL Pension given on the homepage.

• Now after completing these above procedures, you will be redirected to the Sail Pension Scheme portal. After that, you have to click on the registration option.

• After this, you have to complete your registration by entering all the required information asked to activate the annuity, such as:- SAIL Personnel Number, Kadai, Bank Account Number, Email, Mobile, and Aadhar Number details.
• Now you have to print the annuity application form, attach all the necessary documents asked for and submit it to your personnel or nodal officer.
• You can then log into the pension portal to view the details of the company’s contribution along with your pension account.

Procedure to Login under Sail Pension Scheme

• First of all, you have to visit the official website of SAIL. The home page of the website will open in front of you.
• On the website’s homepage, you have to click on the option of Sail Pension. Now the page of Sail Pension Scheme will open in front of you.
• After this, you have to click on the option of SAIL Pension Portal. Now a new page will be displayed in front of you.
• On this new page, you have to click on the option of employee login. After this, you have to enter the details of your username (PAN number) and date of birth.
• Now you have to click on the sign-in option, after which you can log in.
